Beschreibung
Do you use English in your daily life, at work or socially? Do you sometimes find it hard talking in English on the phone? Using the telephone can be a challenge for people who stammer and this particular speaking situation is not made any easier when speaking another language. This highly interactive workshop, conducted entirely in English, aims to give you the tools, knowledge and practice so that you become more confident when using the telephone.
On the workshop you will:
- think about what aspects of using the phone pose problems for you
- consider ways in which you can make using the telephone easier for yourself
- learn some English vocabulary and phrases which are particularly useful when using the phone
- listen to some pre-recorded phone-calls and think about what was good about the phone-call and what could be made better
- practise making a range of phone-calls, both personal and professional
- have fun!
The entire workshop will be held in English and is designed to help develop both your language and telephone skills.
You will need some basic knowledge of English – the different needs of participants will be taken into account.
